A little bit of snow on the street

Last Sunday night it began to snow in Christchurch… it was expected but by the time the sun came up on Monday morning there was way more than anyone expected! 15cm at sea level. It was so thick that work was closed as most people would have had enough trouble getting out of the drive let alone to work.

I went for a bit of a play with my bike which proved very difficult! Then later I got out for a run after the snow started to turn to slush…

The next morning the snow that was left froze in an overnight -4 degC frost. This left no option to get to work other than run. It was a good way to get in some training and a bit of a play in the snow before and after work. My Orienteering shoes were perfect for the ice.
