Its been a while, a rough few weeks, but I’ve been getting back into some racing with the Takahe to Akaroa Road relay two weekends ago followed by the Inaugural Salmon Run Multisport race this weekend. I ran leg 5 of the Takahe to Akaroa, definitely not my first choice as it was all flat, but as Marty said, I couldn’t do the same leg two years in a row…. Anyway I made sure I made my leg count and after a storming run by Ben on 4th leg we were in touch with 1st and 2nd in the B grade race. I gradually reeled them in and got us sitting nicely in line for B class honours. The guys managed to hold the lead and we had a really good team effort to get us across the line taking out the B grade, and 3rd Canterbury team. Another awesome day out apart from the headwind and the lake flies!
