I did not take part in the Long distance race at WOC but I was certainly there to watch my team mates go hard in the heat! The temperature was upwards of 29 degC and with not much shade it turned into a long day standing in the sun. Chris Forne ran first and came back first, ending up in 28th place and Lizzie Ingham had a really good run to crack the top 20 with 13th place.

Thierry Gueorgiou won the mens race on home terrain and Annika Billstrom from Sweden won the women’s race, both by considerable margins.
