Spectating this time round

As with most sports people I enjoy watching almost as much as competing, and aside from all the running and Orienteering I quite enjoy getting out on the water and doing some sailing. So combine this with being an engineer you have the perfect sport in the Americas cup. Lucky for me the 34th Americas cup competition happens to coincide nicely with my trip home from Europe this year and I am now in San Francisco watching it all unfold as it happens. As you can expect I am a Emirates Team New Zealand fan from way back when we won the cup in San Diego in 1995. I still remember that day quite vividly as one of the most exciting in NZ sporting history. Hopefully with 7 races in the bag and two to go history will repeat itself and this time around I will be right there watching from the sideline!
